Ashley identifies as a straight, cisgender woman and use she/her pronouns. She shows up to this work as a therapist, mother, partner, runner, lifelong learner, and someone who believes that even in the middle of hard things, there’s still room for curiosity, connection, and – yes – perhaps some silliness.

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Ashley has spent the past decade supporting adolescents and adults through anxiety, grief, stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions. She considers herself to be a curious therapist who wants to understand your experience, not just fix it.

Ashley’s style is warm, real, and collaborative. Alongside clients, Ashley seeks to make sense of patterns, explore what’s feeling stuck, and pay attention to what’s already working. She brings in parts work (IFS), mindfulness, and solution-focused ideas to help you tap into strengths and resources you may not even realize you already have. Her background in school-based settings has given her a deep appreciation for how our environments and relationships shape us and how much healing can happen when we feel safe enough to be fully ourselves.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just needing a space to sort things out, Ashley’s goal is to meet you with curiosity, honesty, and support as you move toward a life that feels more aligned.

MEET ASHLEY COOPER, MA, LPCC (SHE/HER)!

Psychotherapist

Professional Background

Ashley’s professional background spans in-home therapy, non-profit youth work, outpatient clinics, and school-based therapy/counseling. She has experience addressing a wide range of issues, including: depression, anxiety, grief/loss, suicidal ideation and self-injurious behavior, gender and identity exploration, family of origin/adoption, relational dynamics, values exploration, racial bias and oppression, motivation, boundaries, conflict management, coping skills, parenting approaches, and ADHD.

Therapeutic Approaches

Grounded in client-centered, solution-focused, IFS and dialectical behavioral therapy approaches, Ashley is all ears in each session, actively listening and creating a safe space for you to process those feelings. She is all about asking questions, reflecting on your strengths, and tapping into the awesome resources you’ve got – inside and out.

“I believe that change happens when you’re fully seen and understood. If something’s working, let’s celebrate and amp it up. Can’t change it? Let’s figure out how to manage it. If it’s not working, let’s find a new approach.”
